Cessie Yu Ling is a 22 year old, Mixed-Chinese-American, Multi-Media artist living in Philadelphia PA. Cessie created The Quirky Zipper while attending the Hunterdon County Polytechnic School, where he studied Commercial Arts for two years, graduating in 2021. Since then, he's been fulfilling Quirky Zipper commissions, mainly making novelty bags that find the balance between accessibility, and personal expression.

In October of 2025, Cessie won season 3 of Seam Queen, a monthly nightlife design competition that began in April, and concluded with the grand Finale on October 27th. Through competing in Seam, Cessie found a love for designing drag garments, and now also creates custom costumes and accessories for kings, queens (and most importantly) the things!! Cessie has designed for the incredible Mandy Mango, as well as working on the construction & design team for her RuPaul's Drag Race Season 18 package.

Cessie's work is influenced strongly by the many anomalies of the natural world, mainly being fueled by funky bugs and strange sea creatures. Working with a variety of textiles, he specializes in making novelty bags & garments made high quality, custom, and with care!
